Code of Ethics
CONSUL INTERNATIONAL 1991
This Code of Ethics summarizes our working principles and standards. It serves as a guide for our staff and as a public promise to our clients regarding the quality and ethics of the services we offer.
1. INTEGRITY AND HONESTY
We believe that honesty is the foundation of every successful transaction.
We act in good faith in all our relationships with clients, colleagues, and state institutions.
We do not make false or misleading statements regarding the value of a property, the terms of a contract, or business formation procedures.
2. TRANSPARENCY AND CONFLICT OF INTEREST
Transparency is key to client decision-making.
We are obligated to disclose any personal or financial interest we may have in a specific property or transaction.
We do not accept commissions or benefits from third parties (e.g., appraisers, repairers) without our client’s prior knowledge and consent.
We inform the client of all costs, fees, and potential risks associated with a service before it begins.
3. CONFIDENTIALITY AND PROFESSIONAL SECRECY
As consultants, we have access to sensitive financial and personal information.
We protect our clients’ privacy with the utmost strictness, not disclosing data regarding negotiations, investment plans, or their identity, except where required by law.
This obligation of confidentiality continues even after the termination of the contract or employment relationship.
4. PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE
We are committed to providing high-level services based on deep market knowledge.
Our staff is continuously updated with legal changes in Albania (Civil Code, Property Laws, QKB Regulations).
We only undertake tasks for which we have the appropriate qualifications and experience. If a matter requires specific expertise (e.g., complex legal issues), we guide the client to the relevant specialists.
5. COMMUNICATION AND FAIRNESS
We treat all clients with respect, regardless of nationality, gender, religion, or social status.
We respond to client requests in record time and with accurate information.
In case of disputes, we commit to a solution through understanding and mediation, always prioritizing professional ethics.
6. RESPONSIBILITY TO THE COMMUNITY AND THE LAW
As an agency operating in Durrës and throughout Albania:
We respect all local and national laws, including those against money laundering and corruption.
We aim to contribute to a safer, more regulated, and more honest real estate and business market in Albania.
